Hot-spot Cell Short Message System Solution

Introduction

       Cell Short Message is a kind of value-added information service provided according to the information of mobile user’s  cell. Based on the location management characteristics of the mobile user, through monitoring A Interface and MAP signaling links, the user’s cell information is extracted and thus the user entering into the cell will be provided with characterized information service. As the user location obtained by the Cell Short Message is relatively accurate, governmental organizations, enterprises, merchants can use the system to provide a characteristic information service for a specific cell, specific time and specific user group. Therefore, Cell Short Message is actually a value-added platform to provide the users with information service.

Solution

      This system adopts a high-resistant interconnecting method to monitor the A interface (MSC-BSC interface) of mobile internet, and from which the location information (cell information) of the mobile user is extracted and sent to the service platform. Then, the platform determines whether the  user’s cell is within the geographic area where the information is issued and whether the user meets the conditions for receiving the message, so as to decide whether it is necessary to further trigger the information issue. If the user meets all the conditions, the service information will be sent to users through the information interface (SMS interface and MMS interface) from the service platform to the operator.

      After adopting the hot-spot cell short message system by ZCTT, a provincial operator promotes the value-added service over the whole province: it applies the Cell Short Message in the station, wharf and airport where the user group is divided into the local user group and non-local group, with welcome message, weather forecast information, hotel information and travel information to be sent to the non-local user group.
