Based on comprehensive understanding of complex and changeable network environment of operators at home and abroad, NetCompass-LTE monitoring system has enabled comprehensive monitoring of links, network elements, terminals, users and services, providing such integrated functions as network congestion detection, NE devices status monitoring, service hotspot detection, user preferences analysis, service providers assessment, network interaction quality assessment etc.
Due to the monitoring demand of the network convergence, NetCompass system is a modularized solution with a uniform platform under B/S architecture. It not only supports various data capture, but also provides the analysis and processing of control and user plane data. This system includes a series product, such as CSFB monitoring, 2/3/4G interoperability monitoring, and VoLTE monitoring etc., thus providing operators with an integrated solution.

Monitoring Scope
Main monitored interfaces of this system includes Uu, X2, S1-MME, S1-U, S6a, S10, S11, S3, S4, S5, S8, S12, S9, SGs, Gx, Sh, Sv, and Rx etc.
Supported protocols include GTPv1, GTPv2, Radius, Diameter, S1AP, X2AP, SGsAP, GRE, PMIPv4, PMIPv6, and TCP/IP etc.
Product Function
1. History signaling and services records query:
This function is used for network problem display and location by original signaling flow through downward drilling
2. Real-time tracking for user behaviors:
Enable to reflect user behaviors in real time and track the user’s signaling procedures, including all-interfaces records on the user plane and control plane.
3. NE-based KPI analysis:
Include quality analysis and fault cause distribution statistics.
4. End-to-end record correlation:
Show the complete service process, and enable multi-protocol and multi-interface signaling process correlation.
5. 2G/3G/LTE network handover analysis:
Include time delay, handover success rate, handover time etc. from 2G/3G to LTE or from LTE to 2G/3G.
6. CSFB terminals fallback analysis:
Enable to correlate MC/SGs/S1 interface records, and analyze fallback success rate, paging success rate, time delay, fallback quality of terminals, user perception for fallback etc.
7. VoLTE analysis:
Analyze SIP registration, call success rate, SRVCC handover success rate, monitor and analyze voice quality.
8. VIP users’analysis:
Provide various users’perception analysis, including network access and signaling process success rate, service traffic and rate, retransmission packet loss, and time delay etc., helping operators improve QoS.
9 Terminals analysis:
Include user proportion for such different terminal attributes as terminal type, manufacturer, model, OS, and browser type etc., signaling interaction success rate, as well as the comparison between service traffic and rate.
10. GIS-based real-time KPI monitoring:
Include network links status monitoring and real-time KPI alarm monitoring; it is possible to customize services KPI, alarm threshold, instant alarm notice etc. It also supports the interfaces with the third-party alarm management platforms
Typical Application
1. End-to-end analysis:
Provide end-to-end analysis toward the whole mobile network from two levels, i.e., end-to-end analysis for single users and NE KPI; fully reflect the user experience, network performance, QoS and application performance.
2. Large traffic processing:
The probe in the bottom layer uses leading Cavium multi-core technology, owns strong application and user identification capacity. One board supports 40*10G interfaces max, and the processing capacity of 1U device is 10G throughputs.
3. KPI analysis:
There are various kinds of statement analysis demands for network maintenance department, marketing department and complaint handling department of operators. Primary KPI analysis function of this system has covered more than 80% regular analysis demands. Also, it provides KPI customization.
4. Voice solutions:
Support the primary voice solution monitoring, including the VoLTE, CSFB and other LTE voice supplying ways that comply with eSRVCC protocol.

It supports services identification, service traffic and flow direction analysis, service type ratio analysis, and high traffic population analysis, providing an efficient tool for network management personnel to monitor network running status in real time, to optimize network service quality, and to timely find exceptional traffic, thus guaranteeing the network running.
The identification rate for service traffic covers 33 service groups, including streaming media, IM, P2P, WEB browsing, VoIP, etc. Also make user behavior analysis for more services.
