Product Overview
The IMS network architecture has been determined as the ICS core network architecture of the operators in the future, so it plays an important role in promoting operators’ VoLTE voice solution and RCS rich-media service. Now, all operators are speeding up the deployment of the IMS network, which has been put into commercial operation in many provinces, so the VoLTE test begins to be conducted based on the IMS network. At present, many problems arise gradually in the process of IMS network operation and maintenance, while the operators are lack of effective means for solving these problems.
ZCTT is highly prospective in the communication network monitoring market, and has launched the IMS monitoring system product in 2010 to provide an operating support to the IMS network and offer a set of whole test solution. Monitoring Scope
The IMS monitoring system can collect and monitor the signaling and media data of all network devices including service network, core network, inter-working network, all service server of region network, user registration, session server and access gateway server etc., collect various IP/E1 data formats, analyze the signaling like SIP/DIAMETER/DNS/ENUM/H248/ISUP/BICC/CAP and RTP/RTCP media data, and, as requirements of monitoring, collect different IMS network device interfaces and various signaling and media data, and also can perform a data correlation analysis in combination with other monitoring systems of ZCTT to provide users with a comprehensive IMS network monitoring solution.
Product Functions
1. Service records query: It is used for historical problems recurrence and network problems location, and also can drill original signaling data.
2. Real-time tracking of user behaviors: It can reflect users’ behaviors in real time and track users’ signaling process, including the user plane and control plane.
3. KPI analysis based on network elements: It includes quality analysis and failure cause distribution statistics for call services, register services and messaging services, as well as key service indexes for traffic statistics, etc.
4. End-to-End records correlation: It enables the correlation of the whole call process and register services, as well as the correlation of multi-protocol and multi-interface signaling, so as to display them on the same interface, and locate problems more intuitively
5. IP and VoIP QoS analysis: It provides packet loss, time delay, dithering, R-factor, MOS, VMOS user subjective perception rating
6. IMS service quality analysis: It includes coloring ring back tone services, multimedia conference services, instant message services, and etc.

Typical Applications
If users make complaint when they are using the network, operators need to deal with complaints quickly and locate problems of IMS networks. The monitoring system enables historical data memory and analysis, as well as query of users' historical services CDR, and help operators reproduce the scenes where users suffered from problems.
Operators need to obtain service KPI of all network elements in the network to assess the running quality of IMS network, and the monitoring system can help them realize this. According to different analysis requirements, different dimensionality and statistic granularity can be set, and the real-time alarm monitoring toward KPI is also available.
While handling network problems, operators can check service status on OMC of all network segments, but cannot carry out end-to-end tracking analysis toward business process in the same system, so the location efficiency will be impacted. The monitoring system acquires and associates signaling of the entire IMS network, so as to enable service process tracking of IMS core network, MGC gateway and other networks.
During some important activities or festivals, operators need to monitor the overall condition the network in real time, so as to timely solve problems. Network topology alarm function of the monitoring system can monitor the running status of IMS network and KPI in real time. In case of alarm, system will send message or email to inform maintenance personnel for timely handling.
IMS network has several multimedia services, and operators need to rate the quality of voice and video services, and the monitoring system enables subjective voice MOS rating and video VMOS rating. It also saves and playbacks media stream RTP data to provice rating reference for network multimedia service quality .
